Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 676-3618. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, appalachianmountainhealth.org.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had a bad experience with this place too. They made my dentures and my front teeth lay on top of my bottom teeth. I kept telling them and they said as long as they fill okay they should be fine. The teeth are to big and has 14 on top and bottom and when scraping on each other I couldn't eat. It was hard to eat and hurt. I really thought I would have a better experience but I did not. My dentures I put up and it has been a year now. I just got a email saying I have a appointment on the 21st. I thought I canceled cause what's the use when no one would listen to me that they didn't feel right. Anyway I want be back.

I have had severe tooth pain for 7 days now. 10 out of 10 pain. It started Friday night of last week, so on Monday I called to make an urgent appointment, and they were able to see me the next day to see what was happening. During that appointment, they diagnosed me as needing a wisdom tooth extraction. Because my pain was so severe, and they didn't have time during the urgent appointment to extract, they asked me to sit in the lobby and hope that someone canceled so that they could remove it that day. No one canceled so they created an appointment for an extraction for today at 9:30 am. At 8 am this morning they called me and said that they did not have time to do the extraction today. I have been in severe pain for a week, and it is only getting worse. I can only eat a couple of bites at a time. I am having trouble sleeping. I am miserable. They have SEEN how much pain I'm in, and do not care. I BEGGED them over the phone to see me today for the appointment they scheduled (and, supposedly, at the time of scheduling thought they had time to do). The best thing they could do was try to prescribe antibiotics and reschedule for next week. I do not have an infection. If I had an infe

I went in still nervous from previous abuse & manipulation from other local dental practices. Yet Wallowitch was patient and had the best bedside manner, explaining details and walking me through a complete work-up with me. It was empowering and wonderful to be helped by this team. Thank you so much.

I had a good experience (5/28/26) today. First of all, I was already nervous knowing I had to get a tooth extracted but I can honestly say Dr. J Wallowitch & Brandon (dentist assistance) made the whole process as easy as possible. So with that being said, for your dental extractions I would recommend these 2 any day. Again, thank you guys for your kindness as well as your professionalism.

When I first went there, they assumed me I would be very satisfied with my dentures and the quality of the staff and their dentures. I'm on a sliding scale and was told that the $650 I paid up front was my full cost period. I have had to go back 4 times to get re- fitted for my dentures. The last time they were so big they would not even fit in my mouth. I had to do a new impression and everything. This has literally put me in a state of depression. I had to call the office to see if my teeth had come in because it had taken so long. They scheduled me and when I went in for my appointment, the receptionist, with a snarly attitude told me my payment was $65. I almost fainted. Her only reason for giving me was it was for the doctor. Every appointment I've went to there has either been $0 or $4 because of my co-pay. I am filing a complaint with the dental board and anyone else I need to. It's difficult to walk around with no teeth but to pay in full and feel as thow you are being drug threw the mud and feel as thow you are being made fun of. The biggest part of my soul never wants to go there or see any of them again. I WANT MY TEETH!!!! This place really needs to be investigated or s
